As a way of trying to help, I have always used this blog as a way to offer work opportunities. We are looking for both a senior and a mid level backend engineer. Do you feel you have the following skillset? Then don’t hesitate and apply ASAP!

  • 4+ years experience as a software engineer
  • We are ideally looking for:
    • Extensive knowledge of Python and Django
    • API development preferably with GraphQL
    • Experience with relational databases (we use PostgreSQL mainly) 
    • Experience with Docker, since it is used from development to production
    • Code reviews and unit tests for all code
    • Comfortable with GIT
    • Knowledge of gRPC would be a huge plus
    • Having worked with microservices would be highly valued
  • Spanish and English fluency, both verbal and written required

Senior Backend Developer

Backend developer


Is creating amazing Web UIs using React your thing? Then don’t hesitate to check this out! We are looking for:

  • 3+ years experience as a software engineer 
  • Previous experience working as a React.js Developer
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML and front-end languages
  • Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux
  • Experience with user interface design
  • Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software
  • Knowledge of API consumption, specially with GraphQL
  • Code reviews and unit tests for all code
  • Comfortable with GIT

Frontend developer

Quality Assurance (QA)

Are you ready to take on a QA role? This is how you will help us push the boundaries of quality: 

  • You will be key in evangelizing testing culture working with all parts of Tech at JOOR – including our Engineers, Technical Leads, Quality Engineers and Product Managers.
  • Being solutions-driven, you will aid in identifying and implementing testing strategies for the needs of the organization.
  • As a Subject Matter Expert, you will seek to continuously learn about our systems, users, and business applications to level up those around you.
  • You will take calculated risks, engaging in active research of new testing techniques, methodologies and tools, sharing them with the team, and applying them when there’s a potential for improvement in partnership with Engineering teams. 
  • You will work with high-level specs, in a fast-paced environment and think critically to provide the best test coverage in both ideal situations and in the non-ideal when constraints are present.
  • You will work with other Quality Engineers to level up those around you.

This what we expect you to have:

  • 5 years prior experience as a Quality Engineer or related role, developing automation tests and developing testing frameworks or tools
  • 5 years experience with Python or Javascript
  • Experience working within the full development lifecycle, and helping improve processes within the lifecycle.
  • Experience testing multiple systems including web platforms, apis, and microservices.
  • Experience automating build processes and application deployments with tools like Jenkins.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with immediate team and stakeholders outside of the immediate team (ie. Technical Leads, Engineers, Product Managers)

Bonus Skills and Expertise: 

  • Experience with Databases
  • Experience with testing across distributed teams and microservice architecture.
  • Experience with multiple tiers of testing including understanding when best to utilize E2E tests, integration tests, contract tests and/or unit tests.
  • Experience with Selenium and Cypress would be a huge plus.
